Immersive virtual reality experience in the park. Fort Lauderdale Development Authorities reached out Nova Southeastern University, DCAM Art + Design program collaboration for an opening ceremony of the freshly renovated Huizenga Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Professor Kolos Schumy proposed a concept for design and representation of Augmented Reality art during the event. Project was executed successfully in collaboration by three Extended Reality Art students and a faculty member.
Each of the 4 artist created a site specific augmented reality art installation which was available during the ceremony in four different locations.
During the event we had a 100 visitors from all ages put on VR headsets and engage with the art spaces.
